Signs your oven needs a professional clean

Most people book an oven clean because something has stopped working the way it should:

✔ Burnt-on grease and carbon build-up – that no longer shifts with normal scrubbing.

✔ Smoke or a burning smell – when the oven heats up – built-up grease on the base and fan is a fire risk.

✔ A foggy, stained door – you can’t see your food through any more.

✔ You’re moving out – the oven is one of the first things agents check at the final inspection.

✔ It’s been a year or more – a yearly clean stops grease baking onto the fan, seals and door glass.

If any of that sounds familiar, this is exactly the service you’re looking for.

Complete kitchen appliance oven cleaning Melbourne

Every booking starts with a check that your oven works and a protective mat laid on the floor. Removable parts are dip-tank degreased, the interior and door are cleaned by hand, then everything is reassembled, the outside and knobs are polished, the area around the oven and the sink are wiped, and the oven is tested again. Here’s what that covers for each appliance.

Single, double and 90cm ovens

We clean single 60cm ovens, double ovens, 90cm wide ovens and large freestanding cookers up to 120cm, including fan-forced (convection) and self-cleaning models. Burnt-on carbon is scraped off the interior, then the walls, base, fan cover and door seals are degreased while the removable parts soak. The oven ceiling is cleaned too where the grill element folds down; where it doesn’t, we clean as much of it as can be reached.

Oven door and glass panels

The door is taken off so the glass can be cleaned properly. We clean both sides of the door and, where needed, between the glass panels so trapped grease comes out too. Sealed door units can’t be opened, so on those we clean the inner and outer glass only.

Racks, trays and fan covers

Racks, shelves, trays and fan covers soak in a dip tank of professional oven solution that dissolves baked-on grease and carbon and kills germs and bacteria.

Stove tops and cooktops

Gas burners and trivets, ceramic, electric and induction cooktops. Grease and burnt food are lifted without scratching the surface.

Rangehoods and filters

Rangehood filters, vents and the canopy are degreased to restore airflow. A clogged filter lets grease build up above the cooktop, which is a fire risk.

Microwaves and splashbacks

Microwaves are cleaned inside and out to remove splatters and smells. Splashbacks are degreased whatever the material – tile, glass or stainless steel.

Commercial oven cleaning

We clean commercial ovens for restaurants, cafes and food businesses. Every commercial job is quoted after a site assessment so the method and price match your equipment.

Service level included as standard on every booking:

  • Full disassembly of removable parts (door, racks, shelves, fan covers)
  • Eco-friendly dip-tank degreasing – no harsh chemical fumes
  • Reassemble and function test before the technician leaves
  • The oven is ready to use immediately after cleaning

 What’s not included

  • Oven cleaning covers the appliance interior and exterior, racks, door and seals – it does not include surrounding cabinetry, walls or floor cleaning unless booked as part of a broader deep clean
  • Repairs to damaged seals, broken elements, cracked glass or pre-existing mechanical faults are not included – we’ll flag these if found, but cannot fix appliance hardware
  • Severe rust or corrosion damage may not be fully removable, and our technician will advise on-site if a full restoration isn’t realistic
  • Built-in or integrated ovens with restricted access (e.g. boxed-in installations) may incur a different quote – flagged at booking

How our oven deep clean works: 4 steps

How we work

1 .

Inspection

Your technician tests that the oven works, notes any existing faults, lays a protective mat on the floor and starts the service.
2 .

Full disassembly

The door, racks, shelves and fan cover come out so every hidden surface can be reached.
3 .

Dip-tank deep clean

Removable parts soak in the dip tank while burnt-on carbon is scraped from the interior and it is pre-sprayed with degreaser and cleaned.
4 .

Reassembly, test & tidy

Everything goes back together, the outside and knobs are polished, the area around the oven and the sink are wiped, and the oven is tested again before the technician leaves.

Typical duration: 1–2 hours for a standard single oven.

Before we arrive and after we leave

Before we arrive:

  • Switch the oven off at least two hours before so it’s cool.
  • Take out anything stored inside or in the drawer that you don’t want cleaned.
  • Clear a little benchtop space next to the oven.
  • Tell us about known faults (loose hinges, cracked glass, broken seals) when you book.
  • Let us know about parking or building access.

After we leave:

Your oven is ready to use straight away. Heat it to a high temperature for 10–15 minutes before your first cook to dry off any moisture. Wiping spills once the oven has cooled stops them baking on and keeps it cleaner for longer.

Oven cleaning FAQ

Q: How long does a professional oven clean take?
A: A standard single oven takes 1–2 hours. Double ovens, 90cm ovens and heavily soiled ovens take longer, and adding a stove top or rangehood adds time to the same visit.
Q: Do you clean commercial ovens?
A: Yes. Our technicians clean commercial ovens for restaurants, cafes and food businesses. Contact us for a tailored quote and site assessment.
Q: How often should I have my oven professionally cleaned?
A: We recommend a professional clean every 6–12 months for average household use. If you cook frequently or run a commercial kitchen, you may need more regular cleaning. Regular professional cleaning reduces fire risk and keeps your food tasting its best.
Q: Can I use my oven straight after cleaning?
A: Yes. It’s ready to use as soon as the technician leaves. Heat it on high for 10–15 minutes before your first cook to dry off any remaining moisture.
Q: Can I clean my oven myself instead?
A: While cleaning your oven with household cleaners is possible, they might not be as effective as professional oven cleaning services. Household cleaners may not be strong enough to remove tough grease and grime that has accumulated over time.
Q: What types of ovens do you clean?
A: We clean single 60cm ovens, double ovens, 90cm wide ovens, large freestanding cookers up to 120cm, fan-forced (convection), self-cleaning and commercial ovens. Built-in ovens in tight cabinetry may be quoted differently – mention it when you book.
Q: Do you offer same-day oven cleaning?
A: Yes, in most Melbourne suburbs, subject to technician availability. Enter your postcode in the booking form to see real-time slots, and book early in the day for the best chance.
Q: Are your oven cleaning products safe for kids and pets?
A: Yes. We use eco-friendly, non-caustic and fume-free professional detergents that are child and pet-friendly. It’s still best to keep little ones and pets out of the kitchen while the technician works.
Q: Can you clean my oven if it’s extremely dirty?
A: Absolutely! We specialise in tackling heavily soiled ovens, removing stubborn grease, grime, and burnt-on residue to restore your appliances to like-new condition.
Q: Do your services include rangehood and cooktop cleaning?
A: Yes, we also clean rangehoods, cooktops, splashbacks, and other related appliances to ensure a spotless kitchen.
Q: Why should I hire a professional for oven cleaning?
A: Professional oven cleaning ensures a thorough, safe, and efficient process. It extends the life of your appliances, improves performance, and removes harmful residues that may affect food quality or pose fire risks.
Q: Is professional oven cleaning worth it?
A: Yes, if grease has baked on or the oven smokes when it heats up. A professional clean reaches the fan, seals and door glass that sprays and scrubbing miss, removes grease that can catch fire, helps the oven heat up faster so it uses less energy, and saves you hours of work with harsh chemicals.
Q: What’s included in a professional oven clean?
A: The door, racks, shelves, trays and fan cover are removed and soaked in a degreasing dip tank while the interior, door and seals are cleaned by hand. Everything is then reassembled and function-tested. Repairs, cabinetry, walls and floors are not included.
Q: Do you clean between the glass panels of the oven door?
A: Yes. We clean both sides of the door and, where needed, between the glass panels – unless the door is a sealed unit that can’t be opened.
Q: Can you remove heavy, burnt-on grease and carbon?
A: Yes. Heavily soiled ovens are what the dip tank is for: it softens baked-on carbon on racks and trays so it lifts without aggressive scrubbing. Severe rust or corrosion may not come off fully, and your technician will tell you before starting if that’s the case.
Q: Is oven cleaning included in an end of lease clean?
A: Yes – oven, stove top and rangehood cleaning is included at no extra charge in our end of lease cleaning, because agents check the oven at the final inspection. If you only need the oven done before you move out, book it here on its own.
Q: Do you clean commercial ovens?
A: Yes. We clean commercial ovens for restaurants, cafes and food businesses. Every commercial job is quoted after a site assessment.
